Breast implants can be placed either under the mammary gland (subglandular) or under the pectoral muscle (submuscular) through a minimal incision of about 3-4 cm. This incision is strategically positioned in a natural crease at the tip of the armpit, known as the transaxillary approach, to minimize the visibility of scarring and allow for faster recovery.<\/p>\n<p>For precise implant placement, an endoscope, a thin instrument equipped with a camera and a light, connected to a video monitor, is used. Absence of breast scars<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The great and one of the most important advantages of transaxillary endoscopic breast implant surgery over the traditional technique is the absence of scars on the breasts. Why is this important?<\/p>\n<p><strong>The scars, once formed, are permanent; they cannot be removed with an eraser.<\/strong> By any method, laser or otherwise, scars cannot be completely removed. What's more, by trying to remove one scar, you run the risk of a new, perhaps even more annoying one appearing.
